Duke University is seeking two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work in an inter disciplinary research environment in Prof. Tuan Vo-Dinh's Lab (http://www.vodinh.pratt.duke.edu/) at the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (www.fitzpatrick.duke.edu), Duke University.

The candidate for the postdoctoral position in biophotonic instrumentation will have a PhD in biomedical engineering, molecular spectroscopy, nanophotonics, optofluidics or related fields with biophotonics experience. This candidate should be a US Citizen and will be responsible for developing novel spectroscopic instrumentation and methods for medical diagnostics and therapy, chemical sensing and energy-related research.

The candidate for the postdoctoral position in molecular biology will have a PhD in biomedical engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, photochemistry, photobiology, or related fields. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining a bioassay lab, developing molecular probes, characterization and testing biosensors and biological molecules that have the potential for use in medical, environmental and energy-related applications.
